While SDF provides leasing facilities for many economic sectors, the agricultural sector receives greater emphasis, as farming is the primary source of livelihood in rural Sri Lanka. As farming communities remain in the fields for much of their day, SDF officers physically visit the farm, or paddy field, to complete all the required documentation and to deliver the leased equipment, on behalf of farmers. SDF has also entered into MOUs with machinery retailers to allow farmers to access modern farming machineries, such as tractors and harvesters, at the lowest rates. In addition, through Sarvodaya Shramadhana Societies, SDF organizes farming community events for farmers to exchange knowledge on urgent topics.

Leasing solutions are available for 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, and other 4-wheelers to enhance individual lifestyles to generate income as a measure of poverty alleviation and employment generation.

Leasing facilities are available to facilitate access to for a wide range of modern machinery and equipment required by businesses.

In recent years, Sri Lanka has seen a surge in demand for laptops among youth, school children and university students. However, many families, particularly in villages, cannot afford to purchase a laptop outright. Therefore, SDF has designed a laptop leasing facility that allows access to many different brands of laptops on affordable lease rentals.
